Here in the 6ix celebrates Multiculturalism Day down at the Harbourfront Centre (235 Queens Quay W). Celebrations start early with a dance in their pond by Red Sky Performance as well as a neighbourhood breakfast. There will be performances throughout the day by Jowi Taylor and Toronto’s own Kardinal Offishal. Guests can also watch a musical by Confederation Centre’s Young Company The Dream Catchers and participate in free workshops in kite making, dance, shadow puppets and more or sit in a taxi and listen to Taxi Stories. Open Roof Fest: Colossal – FESTIVAL

The Open Roof Festival is back at 99 Sudbury with Tuesday-night double-bills of cinema and live music all summer long, launching tonight with the Anne Hathaway-Jason Sudeikis monster mash Colossal! The full lineup has yet to be announced, but last year’s program included the Toronto premiere of Anna Rose Holmer’s brilliant The Fits, so we’re hoping things are equally ambitious for 2017.
