Open Roof Fest: Free Fire – FESTIVAL

Come down to 99 Sudbury St. for Open Roof Festival to watch FREE FIRE, an electrifying comedy-thriller about an arms deal that goes spectacularly and explosively wrong.  Open Roof Festival is a not for profit, outdoor music and film festival highlighting independent filmmakers and artists from Canada and around the world. Tickets are $15 cash at the door or in advance online at openrooffestival.com. Doors open at 7:00 pm, Tomi Swick performs at 8:00 pm, and FREE FIRE will begin when the sun goes down (roughly around 9PM)

Bunz Flea Swap & Shop – SHOPPING

From 8PM-Midnight tonight, the Bunz Flea Swap & Shop will be happening at the Gladstone Hotel (1214 Queen W). This is a massively popular bartering community/app’s quarterly flea market where you can negotiate trades on the spot! The market is complete with Open Trading Zone, Live Music & Comedy, Makers, and a few awesome services which promises to come together to create a great summer evening. Bring stuff to trade with the assembled lineup of awesome local artists and vendors (they’ll also accept cash), or put your stuff up for grabs in the open-trades area. It’s a dizzying but uniquely exhilarating flea market experience – guaranteed you’ll walk away with stuff you didn’t even know you wanted.


Dance-Able – SOCIAL

Variety Village and Help by Helping are excited to announce they are hosting the first ever all-inclusive FREE dance party, DANCE-ABLE. This will be an unparalleled night of entertainment in celebration of all those within the disabled community at Cabana Pool Bar (11 Polson St) from 6PM-9PM. In celebration of Variety Village and Canada’s 150th birthday, guests will experience an evening of music, inclusive dancing and some special surprise performances. There will be free non-alcoholic beverages, Pizza Nova slices, and treats from the Cabana Ice Cream Truck! Dance-Able 2017 is about bringing families, businesses, and the greater local community together to create a world that is inclusive and accessible and where people with disabilities are recognized and appreciated



Symphony in the Gardens at Casa Loma – ARTS & CULTURE

Classical music will ring throughout the historic Toronto landmark, Casa Loma for Symphony in the Gardens every Tuesday evening at 7:30PM till August 29, 2017. Casa Loma (1 Austin Terrace) will play host to the Toronto Concert Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Kerry Stratton, in the spectacular Glass Pavilion. Enjoy stunning views of the city, majestic castle and the beautiful estate gardens while listening to the Toronto Concert Orchestra under the stars. Guests also have an abundance of al fresco food and drink options while onsite. Tonight’s piece is Piaf Encore. General Admission tickets are $25 per show available at casaloma.ca!
