NXNE Curator Series: Tasha the Amazon – CONCERT

NXNE is bringing back the club-hopping wristband with a twist, offering festival-goers the chance to discover the hottest acts brewing in Canada’s music scene. Tonight, Tasha the Amazon is teaming up with NXNE to bring through 5 of the most down DJs in the city for one bananas night at Cold Tea (60 Kensington Ave). Robotics Challenge for Kids! – FAMILY

Take your first steps into the wonderful world of Robotics today at the Toronto Public Library (Northern Elms Library – 123 Rexdale Blvd)! Learn the basics of programming, upload your code into a real robot and watch it take life! There will be several different robots to play with and learn including the LEGO Mindstorms EV3, Dash & Dot, Sphero, and MBot. This is a children’s program (10+). Class starts at 3:30PM. Night Of 1000 Dollys – SOCIAL

Queer dance parties in Toronto are generally known for dance, pop and hip-hop, but Steers & Queers has been holding it down for the country fans for 10 years. To mark the milestone, the event is taking over the Great Hall (1087 Queen W) starting at 9PM on Pride weekend with Night Of 1000 Dollys, aka “the biggest Dolly Parton party this town has ever seen.” Dolly drag is obviously encouraged.
