AGO’s First Thursdays: Future Perfect – SOCIAL

Celebrate at the AGO for Toronto’s biggest and hottest art party! Tonight’s theme celebrates the breadth and the diversity of the Canadian experience with a headlining DJ set by Bear Witness, founding member of the Indigenous DJ collective A Tribe Called Red, plus performances by dance artist Esie Mensah, a showcase by the Indigenous comedy troupe Manifest Destiny’s Child and more! Pizza in the Park – FOOD & DRINK

Your favourite community pizza night is back – and, for the first time, with beer! Join in the fun at the wood-burning oven at Christie Pits Park from 6-8PM. Enjoy fresh Neapolitan pizza from the fine folks at Pizzeria Libretto, organic craft beer from Beau’s All Natural Brewing Co., and delicious Indian veggies and rice from Banjara Indian Cuisine. All proceeds support local greening projects through David Suzuki Foundation’s The Butterflyway Project. Pizza wait time can range from 10 minutes to one hour. Community Art Space Opening – ARTS & CULTURE

As a part of Maker Festival Toronto, drop by the Gardiner Museum (111 Queens Park) starting at 5PM for the opening celebration Community Arts Space as they highlight some of Toronto’s most innovative emerging artists, curators and architects. Learn about the partners involved in their free and fully accessible summer program, and engage in hands-on activities! There will be a cash bar and food truck service by Food Dudes.
