Heavy Meta Dragon Fundraiser – ARTS & CULTURE

Today from 12PM-11PM, come out for the Heavy Meta Dragon Fundraiser, taking place at a never-before-used outdoor location in the heart of Toronto’s industrial wasteland. Bear witness to the spawn of magic and machinery through the manifestation of the monolithic fire-breathing beast called Heavy Meta.

They’ve have secured a massive, tree-lined outdoor space in Toronto’s Junction neighbourhood that they’ve named The Sands (158 Sterling Rd). Come see the public Toronto debut of this colossal work of installation art, with interactive fire, sound, and animatronic effects. The costume theme for this event is “future viking.” Come adorned with bones, fur accents and loincloths – Prizes for best dressed! The event will feature art installations, food trucks, licensed bar, lounge area and other unique surprises. 19+ event. Tickets on sale at Eventbrite for $30 or $40 at the door.

Toronto International Brazilfest – FESTIVAL

Canada’s Largest Brazilian Cultural Event, BrazilFest will complete its 14th Annual Expression at the Earlscourt Park Toronto. The rhythms of Brazil will be expressed and celebrated with the help of a diverse and high quality team of performers and bands.

The Festival will offer its attendees the opportunity to be closer to the performers, get a chance to enjoy a taste of Brazil with Brazilian style foods and a family area for families with children to BrazilFest is now considered a part of the Toronto calendar list of many great events that stimulates and celebrates the collective heritage and multicultural diversity of Toronto.

Youth Day 2017 – FAMILY

Now entering it’s 11th year, YOUTH DAY Toronto is a free, family friendly celebration of youth in the arts. They give youth from across Canada a platform to showcase their skills in music, dance, art, photography, fashion and film.

The event takes place from 11AM-11PM at Yonge-Dundas Square and they’ve closed off  Yonge Street to transform it into a vibrant vendor marketplace.
