Christie Pits Film Fest – ARTS & CULTURE

Christie Pits Film Festival is a free weekly series of outdoor film screenings taking place in the natural amphitheatre of Christie Pits Park. The festival’s carefully curated programme includes a combination of popular and critically-acclaimed feature films, as well as local and Canadian short and feature films to celebrate excellent homegrown talent. For night two of CPFF’s Eyes on the Prize series, there are few better examples of the dance competition sub-genre than Baz Luhrmann’s Australian cult classic STRICTLY BALLROOM! Short films DUELO DE DUENDES and LOST IN MOTION II follow suit for this dance and stage performance-themed evening! There will be some eats and treats at 6PM by Caplansky’s Deli, The Pop Stand, Little Havana Cafè & popcorn from the festival canteen! Tonight there will also be a free yoga class by lululemon Toronto from 6:30-7:30PM so bring your mat! The films start at sundown! BYOBlanket!
