Foodalicious – FOOD & DRINK

Come down to Downsview Park today for Foodalicious: a new annual event that celebrates gourmet street food, bringing together some of the best food trucks that Toronto has to offer! This savoury and sweet event runs at Downsview Park from June 10-11 starting at 11AM. Along with the delicious food and tasty treats, there will be a beer garden and a live entertainment stage. In addition, the Kids Zone has all the entertainment needed to keep children amused, complete with a kiddy midway. Several of the popular food vendors at Foodalicious include: Mustache Burger, Johnny Roccos Pizza Wagon, Busters Sea Cove, Ontario Corn Roasters, Pronto Pasta and La Fiesta. Indoor Fishing (Teach a Kid to Fish) – KIDS

Indoor fishing at the Scadding Court Community Centre (707 Dundas W) is an annual tradition that returns to Toronto this weekend. Gone Fishin’ might sound kitschy, but Scadding Court developed the program to educate the city about issues surrounding food security and to give all children access to life experiences that may otherwise be inaccessible. The program runs from June 10 to 17 at the community centre’s indoor pool, and it costs $5 (or $3 if you’re a SCCC member) – this includes a fish that you can get cleaned and cooked on site.

 

Day Wave – CONCERT

Down at The Horseshoe Tavern (370 Queen W) tonight is American indie rock band from Oakland California, Day Wave. Watch them perform new singles off of their 2017 album, The Days We Had. Manifesto 11 – FESTIVAL
