Toronto March for Science
What better way to celebrate the Earth than to defend and protect it! The March for Science is a celebration of our passion for science and a call to support and safeguard the scientific community. Recent policy changes have caused heightened worry among scientists, and the incredible and immediate outpouring of support has made clear that these concerns are also shared by hundreds of thousands of people around the world. ON APRIL 22, 2017, WE WALK OUT OF THE LAB AND INTO THE STREETS.
11am : gather at Nathan Phillips Square, introduction, and march!
12pm : arrive at Queen’s Park
12pm – 1pm : speakers and rally at Queen’s Park
We will start at Nathan Phillips Square, march to Bay St., go north on Bay to College, head west on College, and finish by heading north into Queen’s Park. T-shirts available for sale through Tees for the People:
All funds raised will go towards March expenses, with any remaining funding to be donated to local charities promoting science in Canada.
